The Lawmate Hybrid Pocket DVR is the next generation of high definition digital video recorders. Its been specifically designed for security purposes and can be used with a wide range of bullet cameras and hidden button cameras. It can provide power to it's cameras making it an extremely portable and a tidy solution with the minimum of cabling involved. A video encoding chip has been installed to vastly increase its video quality over other pocket dvr’s in the market place. You can choose to record video from 720 x 480 right up to 1280 x 960 resolution @ 30fps. In addition, a user selectable bit rate from 3mb/s up to 9mb/s makes it currently the highest quality digital recorder available. You now have an option to record to the built-in 120Gb Hard Disk or directly onto a solid state SD card up to 32gb in size. Video files can then be easily transferred from one to the other. This means the PV-1000 can be used in harsh vibrating environments but still allows you to store a lot of video if required. A unique ID stamp can be chosen for each unit, in addition to a time and date stamp, which can be displayed in real time on the video. Sensitive parts of the menu system can be password protected to prevent unauthorized use. A favorite new feature is the variable gain control option for the microphone of the camera being used with the unit. This means that no matter how noisy or quiet the environment you are filming in, you can always adjust it to get perfect clear audio with your video. Also a new pre-event feature has been added so the unit can stay in standby mode and at the touch of a button, can start recording up to 30 seconds prior to pressing it. Still shots can be taken as well from your video while recording or while in standby mode. This unit is supplied with two 3.7v removable and rechargeable batteries, each giving around 170 minutes of record time. Cables are supplied to connect the Lawmate DVR directly to any TV or monitor for instant playback of any video or audio files. The video files that are created can be played back on any PC or MAC by using VLC player.
